Summary
Baldur ’s Gate 3is experience for its incredible underpin cast , so much so that many of the members of this cast have been nominated and gain awards . Halsin ’s personal questline go around around a boy named Thaniel , trapped in the Shadowfell , but it is one whole step from being complete by the time players can utilise the Archdruid . When it ’s done , the seeking does n’t change or finish a defined arc for Halsin , as is the case with Shadowheart , Wyll or Astarion . It sort of just ends , awkwardly , with him state thatKethric needs to dieto destitute the land of its curse . Even Minsc , who is the last fellow traveller to join the company , has more interaction with other NPC than Halsin , despite also having no personal pursuit outside his recruitment .
It seems that Halsin was given little beloved compare to the other fellow inBaldur ’s Gate 3 .
Even if Larian chose not to give Halsin quests in Act 3 for a specific cause , he could have had more play interactions , playing into the"fish out of water"trope . It could have been entertaining to play into the Archdruid ’s deficiency of experience in cities , like have him be mix up by the impost of nobles in various scenes . If a quest was uncommitted to him , Arabella , with her new druidic power , could have been the center of it , with Halsin pushing the role player to regain her after she leaves the camp .
It seems that Halsin was given piddling dear compare to the other associate inBaldur ’s Gate 3,and many peculiar decision were made throughout the early human activity which asphyxiate him later on . There was always go to be one companion below par in the roster , and perhaps the Archdruid simply have from chance . There is some hope that Larian could direct this in hereafter through updates , butit wo n’t do this through DLCs or a sequel , so the amendments would be minor .
